Each converter of this version received the signal processed by a DSP which captured the signals out of the Harmonic Processors

Double DA converter on a module comprising an 8 bits level control and 16 bits DA converter, for the signal. Each converter of this version was coupled with a Harmonic Processor.

Each mixer managed one of the 8 Acxel's outputs.

RPP circuit (picture: 4.3 cm X 4.3 cm) of Acxel II (2008) which integrates 256 extended cells, on FPGA device.

RPP circuit (2.7cm x 2.7 cm) (2009, 2012) which now integrates 1024 cells (in audio and processing mode), on FPGA device that can migrate to ASIC.

The Harmonic Processor module (8.9 cm X 3.8 cm) incorporated 2 specialized integrated circuits, the other components are memories of parameters and for the waveforms, the components are assembled on both sides of the module.

Each Harmonic Processor integrates 32 Cells

Throughout the development starting from the first elements of the Harmonic Processor on the 16¶ until original Acxel, the factor of integration is 110, that is to say the factor of reduction for the same number of cells for a surface is 110 times less for the Acxel's Harmonic Processor compared with the corresponding 16¶ initial circuit.

In addition the last Acxel 2 processor , the current RPP, is over 16000 times smaller than the original Harmonic Processor. RPP integrated on Asic which will be functionally identical to current RPP.

Moreover higher performances of the successive versions in terms of parameters and specific functions, are not taken into account.

RPP & Technology - Integration

The neuralgic elements of the 16¶ and the original Acxel then of Acxel 2 knew an integration of a factor of almost 1600.
